Take notice that by virtue of the "Police and Lighting Rate Ordinance, 1863," the sum of $30 became payable by you on the day of September 1863 at the Colonial Treasury of this Colony, such Sum being payable in respect of the said Tenement of which you are such Occupant as aforesaid for the quarter ending the 30th day of September, 1883.

And take further notice that if you shall refuse or neglect to pay the aforesaid Sum at the place aforesaid within Twenty-one days after the same became so payable as aforesaid application will be made to the Court of Summary Jurisdiction to grant a warrant for the recovery of the said Sum with the legal interest thereon from the time when the same so became payable as aforesaid together with the costs incident by Law to the recovery thereof.

Dated this 16th day of September 1863.
